1 Descriptions

With up to 2MHz switching frequency supported, the

SC6341 device is designed to meet power management

requirements of ultra-compact applications. With individual

loop regulation and protections, the device contains two

step-down DC/DC converter channels, with phase

configuration programmable between 1+0, 2+0, 3+0, 4+0,

1+1, 2+1, 3+1 and 2+2 options. The device supports an I2C-

compatible serial interface for fault telemetry and user

customized configuration.

The device supports a wide input voltage range. With

external VBIAS, a 3.0V to 16V input voltage range can be

supported and 4.5V to 16V input voltage range can be

supported when the VBIAS supply is removed. The VBIAS

supply can help improve light load efficiency as well.

The device provides smart Auto Phase Shedding (APS),

which smoothly changes the rail’s operating phase number

to maximize efficiency. When channel B’s phase number is

set to 0, the SC6341 supports remote differential voltage

sensing to compensate for IR drop between regulator output

and the point-of-load, thus improving the accuracy of the

output and enhancing transient performance.

The device also provides robust protections, including over

current limit (OCL), negative over current limit (NOCL), input

UVLO, output over voltage protection (OVP), output

undervoltage protection (UVP) and over temperature

protection (OTP).

In addition, the SC6341 can program settings through

pinstrap for customized operation mode, switching

frequency, I2C address, current limit and phase number

configuration for different applications.

The device is available in a QFN-28, 4.5mmx4.5mm

package.

2 Features

• Wide input voltage range: 3V to 16V with external

VBIAS, 4.5V to 16V without external VBIAS

• Output voltage range: 0.5V to 6V

configurations (N+M≤4, M≤2)

• 4 phases, up to 5A output current per phase

• Optimized quiescent current: 160μA IQ (EN=Hi, no

switching), 30μA ISD (EN=Lo, I2C enabled)

• Optimized RDS(ON) of power stages: 36mΩ/8mΩ

• Smart Auto Phase Shedding (APS) for maximized full-

load range efficiency
